DiSCoVlab

The DiSCoVlab consists of equipment for accessing the Fianna Beowulf cluster, and steering and visualizing computations running on it. In addition, there is equipment for producing video recordings of computations and editing them and for scanning and producing hardcopy of the results.

The equipment includes:

• PCs with high-end graphics cards running RedHat Linux for visualization including
  • Pentium 4/1.5GHz processors, with 756MB of 800MHz RDRAM, and GeForce3 graphics cards
  • Athlon 1.33GHz processors with 756MB of DDR SDRAM, and GeForce3 graphics cards
• Hewlett-Packard HP180 and J282 Workstations
• a PC running Windows 2000 with digital video editing suite and a Panasonic AG-DV2000 digital video recorder
• a Hewlett-Packard Color LaserJet Color5m
• a Tektronix 780 laser printer
• a Hewlett-Packard 7450c scanner
